Launched in June 2015, Xee is the first innovative solution for connecting all vehicles and changing
drivers’ lives.
The Xee technology has been developed by the French firm Eliocity, created in Lille at the end of 2011.
Eliocity is financed by Via-ID, the incubator and accelerator for new mobilities, in synergy with the
Mobivia Group.
In the beginning...
In 2010, during a trip to Boston University, Stéphane Derville, the founder of Eliocity, found the answer through
a MIT engineer: yes, it is possible to achieve a solution that will transform cars into smart vehicles, by connecting
them to the Internet and smart phones!
The aim of this solution that is being developed? To meet the major challenges for society presented by access to
mobility for everyone, urban congestion, petrol consumption and road safety.
A year later, Eliocity was founded, and in 2012, the Xee solution was born!

Xee is changing drivers’ lives. Thanks to its highly efficient technology, Xee is creating the first open-data eco
system for connected cars.
XeeSTORE provides users with applications connected to their vehicle. Users can now access the Xee application
for protecting their car and its passengers through their smart phones. In the future, there will be apps providing
other services, such as car sharing, pay-how-you-drive insurance, and eco-driving. For this, you just have to connect
XeeCONNECT, which will read the car data and feed them into mobile apps. With Xee, all vehicles can become
connected.
Xee is unique in that it offers a platform that is open to everybody (developers, insurers, car rental companies,
motorway managers, maintenance depots, etc.) to develop new services for motorists. The XeeCLOUD platform
is at the service of creative developers for inventing services that will make life easier for the drivers of today and
tomorrow.
Up to now, 16 millions kilometers have been driven with Xee! With its global cover, Xee is already prepared to take
on all the roads in the world. Next objective? To make the French firm part of the international scene!

WHAT IS
?
Xee, the connected vehicle experience for everyone
Xee’s innovative technology means that drivers are informed remotely in real time on their smart phone of the
state of their vehicle. It is based on the XeeCONNECT box, which transmits car data to the user’s smart phone,
either by Bluetooth if this is installed in the vehicle, or remotely using the box’s GPRS connection, without added
subscription fees. The user can then consult the data, which are transformed into useful information thanks to
various Xee applications (My Xee, Xee Fleet, Bill it, etc.).

A series of free applications are available to box users
from the Apple Store or on Google Play.
XeeCONNECT
A box that connects simply to the the car’s diagnostic
port or on-board diagnostics (OBD) (with some vehicles,
the box must be installed in the workshop).
XeeCONNECT is the most effective technology for
connecting all drivers. Accelerometer, GPS terminal,
technical data, etc.: all the data drivers may want to use
are sent over the mobile or Bluetooth network to their
smart phones. Universal, XeeCONNECT is compatible
with all cars.
The XeeCONNECT box has been approved by the French Ministry of Transport through the French Technical Union
of the Automobile, Motorcycle and Cycle (Union Technique de l’Automobile du motocycle et du Cycle - UTAC).
XeeCONNECT is a universal solution capable of connecting all cars of any make and age. It should also be noted
that all user data are protected. To check whether your car is compatible with the functionalities, users should
connect to the Xee website at www.xee.com.
Compatibilities:
Smart phones with iOS operating systems (iOS 7 and above) and Androids (from 4.0.3) are
compatible with XeeCONNECT. Xee is now compatible with iPhone 4, 4S, 5, 5S, 5C, 6 et 6+
and Smart phones under Android from 4.0.3.

XEESTORE APPLICATIONS
Secure your car, optimise your driving, find your car easily; with the XeeSTORE drivers can access a whole range
of free and evolutive applications from their smart phones. Compatible with iOS (iOS 7 and above) and Android

Each XeeSTORE application provides the driver with a solution to a need.
The XeeSTORE is the first ecosystem entirely devoted to cars. This platform provides Xee owners with a whole range
of applications connected with the car and which respond to their specific needs. Today, the Xee application ensures
the safety of cars and their passengers. Tomorrow, drivers will be able to download a multitude of applications
offering other services.
XeeSTORE lists all the applications compatible and connected with XeeCONNECT. What makes Xee unique is its
ability to personalise the way in which a connected car is experienced.
XeeCENTER: trained professionals at the service of Xee users
All the XeeCENTERS have been trained in XeeCONNECT installation, irrespective of the car model. There are now
more than 200 XeeCENTERS, details of which can be found on the website www.xee.com.
In addition, the professional will install XeeCONNECT so that it is not in the car interior. This means that you can
connect a car discretely, which is particularly important for the “remote alarm” function.
XeeDEV and XeeCLOUD: contributing to the development of the connected car
Xee is the evolutive, open-data solution for developing the connected car eco system. XeeCLOUD collects data
from the XeeCONNECT box and processes them securely. To encourage the creation of new applications, Eliocity
makes a development kit (SDK) available on XeeDEV, its developer space.
Developers and service providers (insurers, car rental companies, fleet managers, etc.) can therefore propose new
applications by exploiting the list of car data provided by XeeCONNECT. Furthermore, hackathons are regularly
organised with their partners, such as Orange, PSA and even TomTom, to dream up the applications of tomorrow.

Eliocity and TomTom are joining forces to add to the TomTom BRIDGE solution. A number of functionalities will be
added to this solution for light commercial vehicles. Thanks to this venture, drivers will be able to communicate in

Eliocity and Rent A Car will be announcing a partnership at the end of 2015 to optimise management of the Rent
