Our Community Garden Jobs for 2015-2016
Community Garden Managers: Marcia Freeman, Tom Hopp, Renee Contratto
CCG Managers are volunteers for the Sarasota County’s Community and School Garden Program. They
see that the Program policies are carried out and rules enforced. They help gardeners select jobs to fulfil the
County Program common area work requirement, and more importantly, that help the garden run smoothly.

John Jirkofsky, See that paths and plots adhere to the original design plan. Raise concrete cylinder corner
markers on all plots as needed.

EVERYONE
• Carry out the small trash bag hanging in the shed doorway and hang up a new one.
• Carry away for curbside garbage pick-up any large black trash bags placed just inside
the entry gate.
• Pick weeds in paths as you see them.
•
Replace consumable items such as tissues, gloves, small trash bags, mosquito spray,
newspapers in gray bin outside shed, and such.

Friends of Culverhouse Community Garden
Please join The Friends of CCG who built the garden and support it financially. They maintain a reserve fund
for emergency repairs to the water system, raise money for capital improvement, and maintain the chapter’s
association with Friends of Sarasota County Parks, which manages chapter accounts and holds/disperses
monies.
