Ultra-High Brightness LED Backlight
Built-in Video Wall Support
DynaScan’s DS² line of LCDs utilize a proprietary system of
LED backlighting which is not only more energy efficient than
traditional CCFL backlights, it is also considerably brighter.
DynaScan has applied its LED expertise to create a collection
of ultra-high brightness LCDs with maximum brightness ratings
up to 5,000 cd/m². which can easily be viewed in direct sunlight
such as storefront windows or outdoor enclosures.
With built-in video daisy chaining, a single 1080p source can be
used on video walls up to 6x6 in size without the need for any
additional video wall controller.
Local Dimming
Blackening Defect Free
The display features a local dimming LED back light technique
for a remarkably high contrast picture as high as 1,000,000:1
(dynamic). With direct local dimming, darker areas of an image
receive less backlighting than lighter areas, as opposed to
CCFL and edge-lit LED backlights which illuminate an entire
screen at all times causing blacks and dark areas to appear
washed out.
DynaScan offers most high brightness screens with IPS LCD
panels which can withstand temperatures up to 110˚C (230°F)
without blackening - crucial for direct sunlight applications.
Superior Color Quality
Full HD 1080p
DynaScan High Bright Professional LCDs come factory
calibrated to D65 (6500 K) CIE color standard – a feature lacking
from many of the large format commercial LCDs currently on
the market. As many displays have a tendency to be rather
cool or “bluish”, these color settings produce a very natural
looking image which has a correlated color temperature to that
of daylight.
With a resolution of 1920 x 1080 Full HD, DynaScan Professional
LCDs provide a super sharp image for easy-to-read text and
incredible detail.
Fanless Thermal Management System
Heat generated by the display is radiated away from high
temperature areas while a sensor continuously monitors the
internal temperature to protect the system from overheating. All
of this is done without the use of any fans, resulting in silent
operation and greatly reducing the potential of mechanical
failure. This feature is especially beneficial in areas with a lot of
dust which can eventually obstruct a vent and cause the display
to overheat.

DynaScan high brightness LCDs are available with bezel-tobezel widths as narrow as 5.3 mm, perfect for video wall and
low profile enclosures.
One size does not fit all applications. DynaScan offer a full range
of high brightness LCDs ranging from 46” to 72” in standard
and narrow bezel styles.
Automatic Brightness Control
24/7 Operation
Different external lighting conditions require different brightness
levels. An onboard light sensor measures the ambient light in
the area and automatically adjusts the image accordingly.

Store Window Displays

it. DynaScan high bright professional LCDs are a perfect
solution for indoor environments that receive a high amount
of ambient light such as storefront windows. To prevent
blackening defect, DynaScan offers IPS LCD panels which can

available, DynaScan high bright LCDs can easily be integrated
in custom outdoor enclosure designs. Brightness ratings as

image with low power consumption. With a fanless cooling
design, enclosure builders can control the air flow within the
structure for maximum efficiency. Extension kits are available for
both the infrared and ambient light sensors for easy relocation.

Narrow Bezel Video Wall Displays
For video wall applications, DynaScan currently offers a variety of
narrow bezel displays ranging from 47” - 65” with bezel-to-bezel
widths as small as 5.3 mm. With built-in video daisy chaining,
a single 1080p source can be used on a video wall matrix up
to 6x6 in size without the need for any additional external video
wall controller. By combining a narrow bezel display with the
benefits of a high brightness LED back light, DynaScan high
brightness narrow bezel LCDs are a perfect solution for indoor
environments that receive a high amount of external daylight.
3D Displays
3D displays often produce an image dimmer than their 2D
counterparts. With brightness levels ranging from 1,500-5,000
cd/m², DynaScan high bright displays can be used to normalize
light levels which have been diminished due to polarization
reducing the light the viewer sees.
Behind Glass and Film
Placing a LCD behind glass, shields or transparent films will
affect the resulting brightness of an image. DynaScan high
bright professional LCDs are an ideal solution to overcome

Analog to Digital Converter
Sensor Extension Kit
The ADHB801 Analog to Digital Video converter is designed to ease the conversion among various analog video formats when used
in conjunction with DynaScan premium public displays. The ADHB801 offers high compatibility among composite, component,
DVI, VGA, HDMI and S-Video to DVI. This unique device supports analog and digital conversion and scaling without loss of quality.
With the embedded advanced deinterlacer, interlaced video inputs, such as component, composite and S-Video, can be further
improved. The wide range video support in both input and output can be up to WUXGA or 1080p. With the included IR remote
control, the ADHB801 offers a very easy way to convert, switch, adjust videos conveniently. With PIP and PAP support, users can
display two video inputs at the same time.
The ESK201 allows for the relocation of both the ambient light
sensor and IR receiver on select DynaScan premium public
displays when installed in an external enclosure.
DS² Display Manager Software
Frame Kit
DynaScan includes a complete software solution to configure a
video wall, make adjustments to brightness, contrast and color
temperature as well as set an automatic on/off power schedule.
An optional frame kit is available for converting an open frame
LCD into a standard display. The frame kit also allows for the
relocation of the IR and ambient light sensor to a forward facing
position.
