The Ventilux Emergency Lighting (VEL) series of
Static Inverters are designed and manufactured in
accordance with the latest European standard EN50171.
Designed to give you a Static Inverter with all the
flexibility and adaptability you need these modern,
compact Static Inverters have the enviable reputation
for consistent reliability, ease of installation and
maintenance, making it ideal for all emergency
lighting installations.
In todays environment, Static Inverter systems must
satisfy the most challenging applications, and the
versatile VEL series of Static Inverters has all the
answers with a wide choice of power ratings.
VEL100 SERIES
The VEL100 series have single phase input and
output ratings ranging from 1KVA to 12KVA.
Manufactured with the state of the art PWM
and IGBT technology, the units produce a
microprocessor controlled pure sinewave
output to critical emergency lighting loads.
VEL200 SERIES
The VEL200 series have three phase input and
single phase output ratings ranging from
10KVA to 20KVA. Manufactured with the state
of the art PWM and IGBT technology, the units
produce a microprocessor controlled pure sinewave
output to critical emergency lighting loads.
VEL300 SERIES
The VEL300 series have three phase input and
output ratings ranging from 10KVA to 160KVA.

Powerful Triple Microprocessor
Control and Monitoring Systems
The VEL series ensure peace of mind by managing and
monitoring all the critical rectifier, inverter and static
switch functions and collating operating data for
archiving and display. During mains failure it analyses
the battery discharge characteristics and provides
accurate information on the remaining runtime.
Intelligent Battery Monitoring to
maximise Service Life
Genuine advanced battery care is the key to reducing
cost of ownership and maximum service life. The VEL
series of static inverters incorporate a two stage
charging process combined with an Advanced Battery
Management system which can determine the optimum
battery float voltage from intelligent microprocessor
control on the basis of actual operating conditions.
Automatic and Manual Static
Bypass Switch
The VEL series allows for instantaneous transfer to mains
or reserve supply if the power demand of the load
exceeds the overload level of the inverter or a short
circuit is experienced.
A manual bypass facility is also provided for routine
maintenance and battery replacement.
Sophisticated Control and
Monitoring Panel
Control and management of the entire system is achieved
at the touch of a button. The VEL series of static inverters
manage all the data concerned with running the static
inverter and provides real time operational status to the
minic diagram and two line liquid crystal display. Vital
operating information is available on demand via the
membrane keypad and in the event of an alarm condition
a description is automatically displayed.
Rectifier "Soft Start" Control
The VEL series of static inverters incorporates thyristor
controlled bridge circuitry to limit inrush current and
prevent overloading marginally rated mains supplies.
High Reliability with Low Maintenance
Careful attention to assembly detail and technical design
assures great simplicity with a consequent increase in
reliability. With a mean time between failure (MTBF) of
20,000 hours, the EL range is an established market
leader and with easy access to internal system components
a mean time to repair (MTTR) of just 30 minutes can be
achieved.

Ventilux use the PSL LONG LIFE Series of batteries.
This versatile range of sealed lead acid batteries
has all the answers with a wide range of capacities
offering the customer form, fit and function solutions.
Ventilux offer a comprehensive range of battery
accessories which include open steel battery stands,
cladded battery racks that can be easily assembled
or disassembled and complete battery cabinet systems. These are designed both
technically and aesthetically to comprise an integral part of the equipment system,
forming a single unit which can easily be located without the need for special site
considerations.
Ventilux also provide battery cable kits, DC switchable fuses and DC circuit breakers.
