The Halliburton AMP 1600, next-generation pumping trailer, is a
high-horsepower pumping unit combining liquid additive storage,
dosing, mixing, and pumping onto a single chassis designed
specifically for coiled tubing applications.

Benefits
The single-trailer design eliminates the need for additional tote
and pumping trailers, reducing the footprint on location while also
reducing personnel on site.
Mixing System
The trailer is fitted with two completely separate mixing systems
offering 100 percent redundancy in mixing operations. The system
is comprised of four 6 × 5 centrifugal pumps offering the ability to
simultaneously load fluids from a holding tank while also boosting
(pressurizing) the downhole pump suction manifold. The trailer
is fitted with 2-off 10 bbl open mixing tanks complete with
hydraulic-driven agitators, which together with the recirculating
pumps make it ideal for mixing viscous gel pills.
The trailer offers two independent and ambidextrous pumping
systems, each with their own hydraulic system. This setup provides
for the ability to pump even in the event of component failure or
while performing maintenance procedures, thereby providing
increased reliability at the well site.
Liquid Additive Storage/Dosing
HAL39002
The trailer carries 1 × 396 gallon (1500 L) and 2 × 198 gallon
(750 L) UN31A approved stainless steel transport totes enabling
gels or friction reducers to be carried on the trailer. Additive tanks
are fitted with hydraulic-driven agitators to help prevent settling
of contents. Liquid additive dosing is by means of 3 × Waukesha
chemical additive pumps, which inject metered chemicals directly
into the centrifugal pump suction manifold, eliminating the need
for manual handling.

Power Train
Power is provided by two C18 ACERT DIT-ATAAC Tier III engines,
each rated at 800 BHP at 2,100 rpm and driving Caterpillar
CX35-P800 transmissions. The AMP 1600 pumping trailer is fitted
with the industry-proven and reliable Halliburton HT–400 triplex
pump fitted with 4.0-in. fluid ends delivering approximately 8 bbl/
min at 3,500 psi (24 Bar) for each side. Maximum working pressure
is 15,000 psi (103 Bar).

WELL INTERVENTION
™
The Eaton AT-1202 two-speed transmissions enable rates as
low as 0.5 bbl/min to be achieved, ideal for pressure testing and
manipulation of flow-activated bottomhole assemblies.
HAL39004
LP suction and HP discharge piping is connected to a manifold to
enable independent pumping both down the coiled-tubing string
and tubing annulus simultaneously while also offering the ability
to switch over if required. The rear of the trailer incorporates a
work platform providing a safe means of access for repacking the
HT–400 pumps.
Control Cab
Each trailer is fitted with an ergonomic insulated control cabin
offering improved sound protection and climate control to improve
operator comfort. All windows are fitted with safety glass.

The control cabin also includes a 110 VAC power inverter enabling
a standard laptop computer and printer to be connected to the
