The program covers Liberal Arts in Japan such as Literature, Society, Contribution to International Welfare, Art, Environment, and History. It also includes Music, Flower Arrangement, Koto Music, Tea Ceremony, Kyogen (Farce) Plays, Noh Plays, Comics, and Animated Cartoons, etc. The program provides a good opportunity to experience and explore various aspects of Japan. In 2020 Tokyo will host the Olympic Games, for which Kyoritsu aims at promoting international exchange relations and looks forward to welcoming highly motivated students. 2 The number to be admitted: 15 students approximately 3 Application Eligibility (applicants should meet the following conditions) ・Female students ・Recommendation Letter of a faculty member of her home university or graduated university ・ English proficiency requirement for applicants who are not native English speakers. : (Either of the following scores is required.) TOEFL PBT 550 TOEFL ibt 79~80 IELTS 6.0 (in all categories of English ability) 4 Requirements for Completion of KJE Courses: You should attend classes for more than 150 hours within a term (or one year at the longest) and complete the classes taking more than eight credits in either core-courses or extra-mural courses. 5 The Schedule of Spring Semester 2017: (Subject to change) ・Advisable Arrival Date……the end of March, 2017 ・KJE Classes commence ……the middle of April, 2017 ・KJE Classes terminate ……the beginning of August, 2017 ・Award Ceremony……the beginning of August, 2017 6 Application period: From September 9th, 2016 to October 31st, 2016 7 Application Procedures: <Applicants who live abroad> ・By Post You are requested to enclose the application documents in an appropriate envelope and send them to Kyoritsu by a registered international delivery service (EMS etc.), which has a tracking system. In case you do not get any response regarding on your application procedure from the recipient (Kyoritsu) within a following week, please notify Kyoritsu by sending a fax. ・By E-mailing You are requested to scan necessary documents and send the application documents to Kyoritsu International Exchange Office with a title of “KJE Program Application”. In case you do not get any response regarding on your application from the recipient (Kyoritsu) within a following week, please notify Kyoritsu by sending a fax. <Applicants who live in Japan> ・By Post You are requested to enclose the application documents in an appropriate envelope and send by registered special delivery service. ・By E-mailing You are requested to scan necessary documents and send the application documents to Kyoritsu International Exchange Office with a title of “KJE Program Application”. 8 Application Documents (Download the designated form at the website of Kyoritsu online system) ① Application form : Use the designated form. ② Curriculum Vitae: Use the designated form. ③ Recommendation Letter: To be written by a faculty member of either your home university or from a university from which you have graduated, using the designated form ④ Certificate of Health: Use the designated university form. In case any physical disability requires special care and consideration during your academic life at Kyoritsu, you should consult Kyoritsu International Exchange Office about it prior to your application procedure. ⑤ Official score report of English Proficiency Tests (for applicants who are not native English speakers) Please refer to the section of Applicant Eligibility . ⑥ Graduation Certificate ( University graduates only) Certificate from the university of graduation (The certificate should be printed only in Japanese or English. In case it is in other languages, it should be attached with a translated copy either in Japanese or English.) ⑦ Payment Guarantee ( Use the designated form) This form is used to provide the details of a guardian who will support the applicant through completion of her academic life at Kyoritsu successfully by covering tuition fees and all the other living expenses during her stay in Japan. ⑧ ID-photo : 6 pieces ・Any ID-photo should be taken within the last three months. (Full head from top to shoulder, front view) ・The ID-photo should be either in color or black and white, (4cm long and 3cm wide) ・Write your name on the back of the photo. 9 Result of screening test and Admission notification: Notification of admission will be mailed to the successful applicants by the beginning of November, 2016. All the applicants are requested to prepare to access the mailing notification from@ “kyoritsu-wu.ac.jp”. Otherwise, you will miss out the announcement of the result and notification of admission. 10 Tuition Fee: ¥94,000 It includes enrollment fee and tuition fee only. It does not include transportation expenses, travelling air costs, accommodation, meals, insurance for accidents or injury while travelling abroad, and other living expenses. Important Notes: ・All documents must be in alphabetical block style. ・The applicant is responsible for her residence in Japan and should book the accommodation in advance. ( If you have difficulty in finding accommodation prior to your application procedure, please consult Kyoritsu International Exchange Office asking for support) ・Kyoritsu may contact you in order to verify the contents of the application, when necessary. You should always be ready to reply to Kyoritsu by E-mailing.
