deciding on a heating unit that will best suit your needs.
Gas or Electric
The first question you must ask yourself before deciding on a heater is Gas or Electric? The
factors that play a role in this decision include:
Do you have the required plumbing and wiring for the unit?

If you are unable to connect to inbuilt gas plumbing, then electric is the best option for you.
•
The gas units can be connected to either propane or natural gas.
Do you have the required clearances?
Our recommendations for gas units are as follows:
•
3ft 6″ clearance from the ceiling (1ft 2″ with deflector)
•
The clearance from the floor is 8ft
Note: Tungsten Smart-Heat Gas pictured, but same clearances apply to Platinum Smart-Heat
Gas.
Our recommendations for electric units are as follows:
•
10″ clearance from the ceiling
•
The clearance from the floor is 8ft

Platinum or Tungsten
Once you figure out if gas or electric is the option for you, you can then decide between our
Platinum Smart-Heat or Tungsten Smart-Heat options.
Platinum Smart-Heat Gas

Wind resistance of up to 11mph
•
This unit can be wall or ceiling mounted
•
The units are available in the 500 series which can approximately heat 200 ft² and 300
series which can approximately heat 120 ft²
•
Units comes with the added benefit of being attached to a rotating bracket which allows for
directional heating
•
Units can all be wired to a smart control system, and come with the added benefit of
automatic re-ignition
Tungsten Smart-Heat Gas
•
This unit can be wall or ceiling mounted
•
The units are available in the 500 series which can approximately heat 200 ft² and 300
series which can approximately heat 120 ft²
•
Units comes with the added benefit of being attached to a rotating bracket which allows for
directional heating
•
Able to withstand winds of up to 7mph
•
Units can all be wired to a smart control system, and come with the added benefit of
automatic re-ignition
Tungsten Smart-Heat Electric

This unit can be wall or ceiling mounted, pole suspended or recessed

The bracket on this unit allows for 60° of motion from top to bottom
