Both these qualifications are a great way to build leadership capability in your organisation, which will increase staff retention and recognise their leadership and management skills. These qualifications are completed on job and may also be supported by short workshops. Core compulsory modules - L3 Communication • Speak to an audience in a predictable situation • Contribute within a team or group which has an objective • Give instructions in the workplace • Listen to gain information in an interactive situation • Give and respond to feedback on performance Workplace Relationships • Develop strategies to establish and maintain positive workplace relationships • Write a report • Develop a plan for your own professional development • Apply a problem-solving model Who are these qualifications for? What’s involved? These qualifications are for staff who have been identified as potential team leaders/supervisors, and those who are already leading teams. These people may be responsible for managing people, resources and/or workplace operations, and usually have technical qualifications and experience but no formal business/leadership qualifications. Learning experiences include a combination of workshops (arranged by Skills Active),self-paced and on-job learning and support provided by senior staff members. Skills Active may also arrange support groups with clusters of other trainees, or offer one-on-one support. LEVEL 4 LEVEL 3 The level 3 and 4 qualifications each take up to 8 months to complete.
