ABS EXPRESS - This 15-minute workout targets all core muscle groups. The training focuses on technique, alignment and strengthening, which gives you improved abdominal definition, tone and strength. AQUA FIT - For a twist on your exercise routine, you can't beat the refreshing challenge of cross-training in water. Enjoy a fun, cardiovascular and strength training workout in the warmth and comfort of water. The non-impact exercises are great for people with any knee, low back or joint discomfort. But just because this class is low impact, don't think it's less work! You’re guaranteed to get your heart rate up and burn plenty of calories. All levels are welcome. Class held at the Renaissance Hotel outdoor pool and may be cancelled in inclement weather. CARDIO BLAST! – Push yourself to the limit in this fast paced, high energy, interval cardio class that incorporates athletic drills, kickboxing, and hi-lo aerobic moves CARDIO SCULPT - Combines a high energy, fast-paced cardio segment followed by a muscle sculpting segment EXTREME SPIN! – This high-energy, indoor-cycling class format has been featured on ABC News, Nightline, the NY Times, and in the Soul Cycle Studio in NYC. It is a total-body exercise incorporates some light hand weights, while riding a stationary bike to heart-pumping music to offer a complete and invigorating workout! Not for the faint of heart or beginner. Bring water to class. KICKBOXING - Martial Arts explosion! This class is designed to work on technique, form and endurance. This class involves powerful repetitive movements emphasizing power and control. The class will challenge you and keep you coming back for more! Hand wraps or boxing gloves are highly recommended. MAT PILATES – A mat-based form of exercise which uses proper body alignment, concentration, muscular control, proper breathing, and a series of flowing exercises to strengthen the deep core, postural muscles. PI-YO - Pi-Yo is a hybrid workout combining the mind/body practices of Yoga and Pilates, as well as principles of sports stretch, strength training and dynamic movement to improve strength, flexibility, balance, core stability, reduce stress and provide a mild cardiovascular effect. Pi-Yo is a non-traditional application of various styles of Yoga and Pilates in combination with constant movement and flow from one exercise to the next. PLYO-N-GO – A high-energy, fast-paced, plyometrics-based class utilizing dynamic movement to generate strength, speed, and agility in the shortest amount of time. Due to the high amount of pressure some of these exercises place on the body, this class is not recommended for those who have weak/compromised joints such as ankles, knees or hips. SPINNING - Our Spinning® classes will give you the ride of your life! Your instructor will lead you through an indoor cycling routine over flatlands and hills in a challenging cardiovascular workout. Accommodates all fitness levels. Bring water to class! SPINNING H.I.T. – H.I.T. = High Intensity Training. This Spinning class is for those who desire and extra challenging Spinning workout. NOT FOR BEGINNERS. Bring water to class! STRENGTH TRAINING - A 15 minute warm up followed by 30 minutes of upper and lower body strength and resistance exercises using weights and tubing. This will be followed by 15 minutes of core body and abdominal strengthening and stretching. STRENGTH & SCULPT- Weights, bands, balls or floor work are used in an intense muscle workout designed to help you define, strengthen and shape your muscles. STRETCH-N-FLEX- Mat-based, zero-impact, total-body stretching class designed to improve flexibility and range of motion. All ages and fitness levels welcome. Excellent class for those wishing to improve their follow-through and rotation when playing golf and/or tennis. TAE BO - Tae Bo® is an aerobic exercise program that combines the best of a variety of different exercise disciplines such as karate, kickboxing, and aerobic movements to provide an excellent overall workout. Hand wraps or boxing gloves are highly recommended. TAE BO BAGS – Similar to Tae Bo with the added benefit of contacting punches and kicks with boxing bags to help build muscle and endurance. T’ai Chi – Practicing this meditative martial art blends physical and emotional discipline to develop greater balance, coordination, ease and power in all daily movements. Suitable for all ages and abilities, practicing Tai Chi deepens mental clarity, and has been clinically proven to reduce high blood pressure in participants. 20/20/20-- Combination class which blends 20 minutes of cardiovascular exercise with 20 minutes of strength training and 20 minutes of matwork to give you the ultimate well-rounded workout. Each segment of the class challenges you with a different exercise discipline, which is cross-training at its best. You'll get your heart pumping, burn calories, strengthen core muscles, and stretch your body (and mind) to its limits. All in one class! YOGA – Hatha —The traditional style of yoga. Through physical postures, controlled breathing, relaxation techniques, and meditation, this slow-paced and gentle exercise serves to bring balance between the body and mind. Vinyasa –A form of Hatha yoga which involves a series of postures, typically beginning with sun salutations and standing poses, which are vigorous and designed to create heat in the body. Attention is placed on the “flow” or the journey between the poses, rather than just on the postures themselves. Iyengar—A form of Hatha yoga characterized by attention to detail and precise focus on body alignment. Students are encouraged to use props, such as blocks or straps, to achieve proper alignment in each posture. Ashtanga or Power—A faster-paced, fitness-based approach to a Vinyasa-style of “flow” yoga. ZUMBA® - Latin and international music create a dynamic score for this awesome cardiovascular workout. Experience an interval training format with various rhythms and movements that tone and sculpt.
