SECTION 01010 SUMMARY OF WORK PART 1 — GENERAL 1. 01 LOCATION OF WORK A. The project site is at: 1. SR A- 1- A north of Wonderwood Dr. at and near the Mallard Cove Apartments/ Subdivision. 1. 02 DESCRIPTION OF WORK A. The work consists of, but is not necessarily limited to, furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the following: 1. New 8" diameter water line crossing of SR A- 1- A via directional drill ( SR A- 1- A ROW) and open cut ( outside SR A- 1- A ROW). On the west side of SR A- 1- A this crossing will connect to the existing 6" water line in the Mallard Cove Apartment complex. On the east side of SR A- 1- A this crossing will run east to the intersection of Songbird Dr. and Bayshore Dr. N and connect to the existing 8" tee. The existing 2" water line on west end of Bayshore Dr. N will be abandoned inplace and the services transferred to the new 8" water main. 1. 03 CONTRACTOR' S DUTIES A. Except as specifically noted, the Contractor shall provide and pay for the following: 1. All labor, materials and equipment. 2. Tools, construction equipment and machinery. 3. Utilities required for construction. 4. Other services and facilities necessary for the proper execution of work completion including incidental items not detailed or called for, but which are required for the proper completion of the project. 5. All legally required sales, consumer and use taxes. 6. All applicable permits, government fees and licenses. 7. Survey services for construction layout and record drawings. 8. All required testing and clearances for placing in service. 1. 04 CONTRACTOR SHALL ALSO BE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING A. Comply with all codes, ordinances, rules, regulations, orders and other legal requirements of public authorities which bear on the performance of work. B. Promptly submit written notice to the Engineer of observed variances of Contract Documents from legal requirements; it is not the Contractors responsibility to make certain drawings and specifications comply with codes and regulations. C. Enforce strict discipline and good order among employees. or those not skilled in assigned tasks. Do not employ unfit persons 1. 05 WORK SEQUENCE A. Coordinate with Owner. B. Contractors construction schedule will be subject to approval by the Engineer and updated on a monthly basis. 01010 —Page 1 of 2 2/ 24/ 15 C. Notify Owner 96 hours ( minimum) in advance of removing any facility from service, permanently or temporarily. Removal from service of any facility shall be preapproved by Owner. 1. 06 CONTRACTORS USE OF PREMISES A. Do not unreasonably encumber sites with materials or equipment. B. Assume full responsibility for protection and safekeeping of products stored on premises. C. Move any stored products interfering with operation of Owner.
