Overview:
The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore was established in 1973. Located in India’s high technology capital,
IIMB is a hub of innovative activity. IIMB consistently figures among the top business schools in India in domestic
and international surveys. The two-year Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) is the flagship program
of the Institute. It is designed to provide students the skills and capabilities that will enable them to reach
responsible Global positions in management. The IIMB campus is located in 100 acres on the southern edge of
Bangalore.
Terms & dates:
Summer: mid-June through early Sept
Fall: mid-Sept through end Nov
Winter: late Dec through late Feb
Academics:
Students at IIMB take a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 21 credits in the “Post Graduate Programme in
Management” (PGP). PGP courses are usually 3 credits each but can be 2 credits as well. All courses are
taught in English.

Housing:
Century Nester (http://www.centurynester.com) provides student accommodation for a nominal rate. The rooms
are fully furnished and internet connections are available within the rooms.

Contact the IIM-B exchange coordinator to inquire about services available to exchange students.
Exchange Office Services:
All exchange partners offer course registration assistance, transcripts, orientations, and paperwork
necessary to obtain a student visa. Orientations are held for in-bound students roughly 3 days prior to the
beginning of each term. IIM-B provides “buddies” and social activities for all inbound students to help

A student visa is required for entry to and stays in India. Health insurance is highly recommended.
