Be in your seat working on your bell work when the tardy bell rings. (Follow Handbook for Tardies) If your computer is not working properly, please be sure to inform your teacher. Please do not try to repair it yourself. We have a specially trained technician to repair our computers. DO NOT change the settings on your computer, such as background and screen saver. Please develop good work habits in the classroom. You have more than ample work to do, so please make wise use of your time. Usually there is no computer homework, but if you are absent or fall behind in your work, you will be expected to come in before or after school to make up your work. Computer work must be made up in the classroom and not at home. Do NOT give anyone your network username and password. Do NOT insert a flash drive, disk or CD without permission from the teacher. Do NOT attempt to find alternate access to site blocked by the internet filter. All files MUST be saved within your network folder. Do NOT save on the hard drive. Do NOT turn off the power of the computer unless given permission by the teacher. Please do not use the Internet without your teacher’s approval and supervision. Also, DO NOT download programs, games, pictures, music ,etc. onto your computer. If you leave the room, or arrive late for any reason you must sign the sign in/out sheet. Students will be respectful of the teacher and all classmates through appropriate language and actions. Rewards may be given periodically to encourage continued personal student success. Cell phones should not be on or used in the classroom and will be taken up according to district policy. (This is your warning!) At the beginning of class, come in, pick up your folder, and log on to your computer. Check the board for bell work and begin immediately. This will be turned in on Fridays and will be graded! Work quietly at your workstation on your assignments. If you have a question, please raise your hand and I will assist you. At the end of the class period, when I instruct you, you will log off the computer, put your folder in the file, clean your work area, and leave your workstation orderly for the next class. (This includes pushing your chair under your computer.) You will remain seated until I dismiss you. Is the responsibility of the student to make arrangements with the teacher for work missed when absent due to illness, doctor’s appointments, field trips, school sponsored event, etc. An ample amount of time will be allowed for making up missed work. Please see the Student Code of Conduct regarding Zero’s. All computer work MUST be completed in the lab. You may come in before or after school to work if you need to catch up.
