non-profit institution of higher education. BU is recognized and ranked
internationally as the premier institution of higher education in
Turkey. Its lively campus with its cultural and social events is home to

Program Dates:
Fall: September 17, 2016 – January 13, 2017
Spring semester: January 28 – May 30, 2017
Eligibility: This program is open to undergraduate and graduate students in all majors. Undergraduate students must have a
2.50 overall GPA or higher and graduate students must have a 3.00 overall GPA or higher to apply.
Courses: Undergraduate students will be registered for 12-15 credits at FAU and graduate students 9-12 credits. All courses
are taught in English. This program offers a wide variety of courses; including subjects in Economics, History, International
Relations, Political Science, Psychology, Management, Engineering (computer, electrical/electronics, industrial, and
mechanical), Chemistry, Mathematics, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Physics, American Culture and Literature,
Archaeology, English language and Literature, Philosophy, Architecture, Fine Arts (drawing & studio art), Graphic Design,
Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Urban Design and Landscape Architecture, Education, Business Information
Management, Computer Technology and Information Systems, Hospitality Management, Turkish, and Turkish culture and

Student Program Services: Students will have access to Bilkent’s sports facilities, social and cultural activities, campus
transportation, student health center, student union, counseling, library, and other student services available on campus. The
program includes a two-day international student orientation (http://www.exchange.bilkent.edu.tr/orientation.html).
Living Accommodations: Free on-campus accommodation! Bilkent University offers free on-campus accommodation for
incoming exchange students. Subject to availability, this offer is valid for double rooms at Bilkent's student dormitories.
Students are expected to file their requests before the relevant deadline. Allocations are on a first come first serve basis.
Room type may differ based on availability. Students who want to stay in a single room can book a single room paying the

Program Costs: Students pay FAU tuition (in state/out of state rates apply) and overseas living expenses.
Estimated Costs: Airfare, FAU tuition (in state/out of state rates apply), living accommodations (free or starting at $600),
FAU application fee ($200 semester/$250 year), CISI insurance ($38 per month), meals ($1,900), books ($130), free
transportation on and across Bilkent campuses, student visa, resident permit ($100), and spending money.
