The Gyrologic™ instrument is a highly accurate, extremely reliable downhole directional survey tool. Comprising of the latest
technology, the SPT system uses Fiber-Optic based Gyro to find direction.
The SPT Fiber-Optic Gyro System with
32mm OD, operates in Wireline and
Memory mode. This continuous survey
instrument can accurately survey all well
profiles at all inclination angles. With drop
capability thanks to its rugged design can
be operated even in open hole applications
providing azimuth data in magnetically disturbed environments. This device is controlled using a rugged Tablet PC supplied with
the system and provides directional data
(azimuth and dip) at any interval from inside
all types of drill rods.
This easy to use system can be run in a
variety of applications from shallow borehole to deep borehole sur-veying, single
shot/multi shot and continuous mode. Operating software to run all SPT instruments is

MagCruiser NanoTM
Oil & Gas
The MagCruiser NanoTM is a memory surveying instrument with drop capability that provides magnetic azimuth along with inclination and toolface readings. lt is designed for
boreholes ofthe mining industry and it has a
temperature rating of 125ºC.
After programming the instrument and synchronizing with the computer at the surface,
individual or cluster surveys can be taken at
any given depth/s in the hole. At completion
of the survey, the instrument is simply reconnected to the computer with a cable and the
survey data is downloaded in seconds. The
archive results have the option to be filtered
and exported to Excel.
A single survey allows the operator to measure the azimuth and dip at one depth. Multi-shot mode allows the operator to take
many surveys at any depths to find information on the well path and coordinate positions. This can be done on Run-ln, Run-Out
or both. The instrument is not run on a timer
so survey shots can be taken at any depth
or time.

facing to geographic north. Once the frame
has been levelled, place the tool in the stand
and begin testing or calibrating.
The Calibration Stand enables the customer to calibrate their own tools if required,
on site,in a few hours. This saves on numerous days of down time and expensive freight costs. lt also gives the customer the
option of extremely accurate quality control
checks of instruments in the stand and the
option to simulate real situations as it has all
the necessary positions.
Calibration of the SPT instruments is a very
simple procedure. Tools can be tested in all
inclinations (0 - 360º), toolface (0 - 360°)
and azimuth angles (0 - 360°).
Features and benefits
•• Conduct your own calibrations on site
and have the tool back in the field calibration in one day
•• The stand is perfect and extremely
accurate for QC checks of any downhole
survey instrument
