Environment
"Wood is a sustainable material and is 100%
recyclable which helps tackle climate change."
Using wood products contributes towards preserving and extending forests.
Used as a substitute for another material each cubic meter of wood can save a
total of 2 tons of CO2.

“Sustainability: over 90% of the wood used
in our production comes from fast-growing
species”
Our fast-growing tree species trap a
greater amount of CO2.
Moreover, it is our responsibility to
guarantee a type of development based
upon resource renewal and environmental
protection. Consequently, we actively
promote the use of wood from PEFC
forests. PEFC certification guarantees
sustainable forest management.

CERTIFICATION
PEFC (PROGRAMME FOR THE ENDORSEMENT OF FOREST CERTIFICACION SYSTEMS):
Certification assures customers that
they are buying wooden products
from sustainably managed forests. By
choosing PEFC, customers are helping
the fight against illegal tree felling as well
as:
66 machined solid pine
- encouraging the maintenance of
numerous ecosystems and their
respective biological diversity.
- economically helping maintain many
rural populations and the origin of an
important manufacturing industry.
- playing an increasingly greater social
and cultural role.

Natural and ecological products
Transformed pine wood products have
a very significant component of manual
production. All our raw material is pine of
Galician origin.
The production process includes basic
steps such as debarking, shape and
size selection, sawing, classification by
size and drying. Next, depending on the
8 8 machined solid pine
needs of the final product, the boards or
planks can be brushed, machined and
assembled.
All wood destined for outdoor use is
subjected to an autoclave treatment
through the Bethel system (vacuum–
pressure–vacuum).
This
type
of
wood treatment is an ecological and
sustainable alternative. We rely on PEFC
certification, which assures consumers
that our raw materials come from
sustainably managed forests.

Finsa's pine wood products have broken
with the traditional sawmill framework by
creating quality products with enhanced
design which are part of construction
elements.
FINSA has a production capacity of about
100,000m3 of sawn wood per year,
10 machined solid pine
which makes Finsa one of Spain's most
powerful industries in this sector.
Properly transformed and treated pine
wood is a highly resistant outdoor product,
which, along with its easy use and
aesthetic qualities, makes it an ecological
alternative for many outdoor applications,
both within the private and public sectors
(public parks and gardens, roundabouts,
urban furniture...).

Tanalised wood (autoclave treatment)
AUTOCLAVE TREATMENT: PROTECTING WOOD FOR OUTDOOR USE
Autoclave treatment protects wood
against termites, insects and wood-decay
fungi.
Our products have been subjected to
autoclave treatment through the Bethel
system (vacuum – pressure – vacuum)
in order to comply with risk class 4 as
18 machined solid pine
defined under the standard UNE EN 3511.
Such wood treatment is completely
arsenic - and chromium - free, so it is
ecological and is registered under the
Official Registry of the Sanitation Authority
(as approved by the EU). The surface has
a greenish colour due to risk 4 autoclave
impregnation. As an extra option, the
surface may come in brown, assuring
protection against sunlight.
FINSA
Risk class
OUR PRODUCTS FOR OUTDOOR USE ARE RISK CLASS 4.
All the wood we sell is treated as risk
