What is an “extended year” pay supplement and how is it calculated?
Teachers work on a 190 day contract. When teacher’s services are required beyond this number of days during a
year such teachers are entitled to additional compensation.

Determine the daily rate of pay:
a. Ascertain the annual local plus state compensation for a 190 day year
b. Divide this amount by 190
Multiply the daily rate by the number of days worked during a year beyond a standard 190 day year
