ARGENTINA 2014
Tierra de Luna
Tinto
VARIETIES
80% Syrah – 20% Malbec.
These two ripening late varieties find all the elements which
they need here in Argentina, the sun and the climate, in order to
produce rich wines with magnificent flavors.
VINTAGE 2014
The season began early, with high temperatures in
December, but, as in Chile, the early start was compensated
by a relatively cool, slightly damp second half of February.
The fairly cool March resulted in supple, elegant red wines
from the Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon harvested in
April, with leaf removal again ensuring well-ripened
tannins.
ANALYSIS
TASTING NOTES
Intense ruby red
colour.
Aromas of red fruits,
subtle notes of spice
characteristic of the
Syrah variety, and
floral hints.
This wine is characterised by the softness
and pleasantness
of the tannins. The
finish continues to
show the notes of red
fruit characteristic
of the Malbec variety
grown in warm areas,
such as Maipú.
SUGGESTION
Pairs perfectly with
red meats, pasta
dishes and vegetable
ragouts.

Argentina’s winegrowing history
dates back to the 19th century.
It now has just over 200 000
hectares of vines, making it
the world’s fifth largest wine
producer.
Mendoza is the largest wine
region, representing almost 70%
of the total winegrowing area.
It is divided into several sub
regions. The lower part is set
at 500 metres above sea level
whilst the highest culminates
at 1600 metres. Our very high
quality grapes are grown at
altitudes of over 800 metres.
Valle de Uco, to the southeast
of Mendoza, has 8100 hectares
of vines at altitudes of between
900 and 1200 metres.
