New to the RX product portfolio is a comprehensive range of adaptor sleeves and withdrawal sleeves along with lock nuts and lock washers for both metric and imperial shaft sizes.
The RX adaptor and withdrawal sleeve range is manufactured to the highest standards using the best quality raw materials and the entire range conforms to
JIS B 1552:2005 / JIS B 1554:2005 and
ISO 2982-1:1995 / ISO 2982-2:1995.

Sleeves
High quality, popular ranges of adapter sleeves (metric/ imperial) and withdrawal sleeves ensure easy and versatile mounting and dismounting of bearings with tapered bores onto parallel shafts.

Adapter sleeves are the universal way of mounting bearings with a tapered bore onto cylindrical shafts. Their use is widespread with both self-aligning ball bearings and spherical roller bearings as they are easy to mount and convenient to use allowing the bearing to be seated anywhere on a cylindrical shaft.
Complete adapter sleeve assemblies consist of the adapter sleeve itself, lock nut and lock washer. Nothing else is required to secure the bearing.

Withdrawal sleeves are used to mount bearings with a tapered bore on a shaft with a cylindrical seat abutted against a fixed shoulder.
To mount, the tapered sleeve is pressed into the bearing bore until the required reduction in radial internal clearance is achieved and then secured in position by a nut or end plate depending on the shaft design.
The appropriate lock nut required for dismounting is not supplied with the sleeve and should be ordered separately.
Appropriate lock nuts are listed in the product data tables with each withdrawal sleeve.

Lock nuts are used to secure bearings onto shafts or adapter sleeves as well as for dismounting bearings from withdrawal sleeves.
They feature four equally spaced slots into which the tabs of the lock washer can be bent and secured. Lock washers also engage a keyway in the sleeve and are ordered separately.
