How to get started with your VA

Once you have chosen your VA the hard part can be knowing how to get started. You know you are busy, you know you have too much that needs doing but you’ve always been the one to do this.

Filling in the following information can help you to identify which areas of your business can be outsourced and HOW.

1. List 5 tasks you have done in the last week you enjoyed doing which added value to your business.

These are tasks you do not want to outsource. By using a VA to help with other tasks, you will now have time to do more of these important tasks which you enjoy and which have a direct impact on your business.

These are tasks you do want to outsource.

3. For any of the above tasks you decide to outsource (and I often suggest you test a VA with an initial task) overwrite the worksheet example on the following page. Email

Depending on how this task goes, you may decide to outsource the rest of your list.

List 5 tasks you just haven’t got around to and would like to be able to tick off your list.

As with #3 above, choose which of the tasks you would like to outsource and fill out a job sheet which you can then simply email to your VA.

Capture as much of the information on the card as possible. I have made notes on the back of some cards which also need to be captured.
