Drop-In Centres in Gloucestershire
There are six Drop-In Centres in Gloucestershire situated in
Cheltenham, Tewksbury, Gloucester, Forest of Dean, Cirencester and
Stroud.
The Drop-In Centre provides support to vulnerable adults. There is no
charge for this service and is available to all vulnerable adults who can
access this service independently. We only provide a service for those
people that do not pose a risk to other vulnerable adults.
The Drop-In Centre supports adults in a variety of ways:
 advice and guidance around the support that is available in the local
community
 it encourages people to take part in activities and will help them form
friendship groups
 it signposts people to appropriate support agencies
 it can help people understand how to manage their finances,
tenancies and correspondence more effectively
 it provides guidance around healthy living and eating, advice and
support to menu plan and shop
 it provides support to understand how to be safer at home and in the
community
 it helps you if you have housing problems or concerns
 it provides support around how you can increase your social network
 it provides a suggested weekly activity list where you can try new
activities or information sharing groups
 it provides you with the opportunity to join a work scheme if you are
looking for paid work.
The Drop-In staff are able and willing to listen and problem solve with
you around any issue that you may have. Sometimes the advice might
be for you to discuss this with a more appropriate organisation as the
staff have close links with others. It could be a counselling service,
police community support officers, the Keep Safe scheme or an
advocate service but staff will always try their best to listen to you and to
work with you.
