Testimonial
I chose to study abroad because I had never travelled outside of North America before. When
Brock presented the opportunity to go I definitely was not going to pass up spending a year abroad in
another country, especially in Glasgow. I chose Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) because it was the
most compatible for my program; however, it turned out to be so much more than that. My year spent
over there, was hands down, one of the best decisions I have ever made and I will never forget the
experience I had there. GCU was a great choice because I got to take courses in a different perspective
in comparison to Brock. I met some of the most amazing people, who have become my good friends,
from all over the globe. It’s such a welcoming university and I even got the chance to get involved and
have my own student radio show on Radio Caley. Glasgow has such a charm to the student-populated
city; it’s not too big nor is it too small. It was just right for me and that certain charm still has me
captivated enough to want to go back so badly! I could not have gone through the whole process
without the help from Programs Abroad at Brock, my family and friends and for that I am forever
grateful for this amazing chance!
