COSEC SAMAY- Installation
Dear Friends,
This MTSM helps user to install COSEC SAMAY in your PC
Introduction
COSEC SAMAY is Time - Attendance software specially designed for small
organizations.
COSEC SAMAY is automatic software which collects data from terminal devices,
calculates attendance and leaves data and stores it in database.
It is compact version of COSEC T&A with mentioned features:
COSEC SAMAY is a desktop application which supports up to 100 users.
Monitor service is available on home page of COSEC SAMAY so, user can
directly check status of devices within a single application.
There are four different modules in COSEC SAMAY.
1. Configuration
2. User
3. Time And Attendance
4. Admin
COSEC SAMAY supports up to 2 doors from following door families:
Direct Door, Wireless Door and Compact Door (PATH Series)
User can configure structure of organization such as 5 Organization, 5
Branches, 15 Department, 15 Designations, 15 Categories, 15 Sections and 15
Grades.
User can Configure 5 different shifts in Shift, add it to a Shift Pattern and assign
it to user.
User can configure maximum 5 different Shift Pattern, 12 leaves and unlimited
Holidays in COSEC SAMAY.
User can view different reports in excel sheet format with that user can also
export attendance data in Tally or Customized format or import user master
data in XLS or CSV.
User can take backup of data and restore it too.
Installation
 For Installation of COSEC SAMAY prerequisites are mentioned below:
 .NET Framework
 SQL 2005 or 2008 R2 SP2
 Windows Installer 3.1 or higher
 All above components are available with installation CD
 COSEC SAMAY can be installed using COSEC SAMAY installer utility
provided in COSEC SAMAY CD
 Double click COSEC SAMAYInstaller
 This will open application installer for COSEC SAMAY
 click ‘Yes’
 COSEC SAMAY installer window is shown below
 Here, click Install option and it will provide two different options for
installation
1. Complete and
2. Custom
 Complete installation will install complete package
 Custom installation will install selected components
 Click Complete and this will open Complete Installation window
 Click Install and installation summary will display the components to be
installed
 After successful installation, click Exit
 A short cut will be created on the desktop
 To open utility plug in dongle and double click on COSEC SAMAY icon
 In first time installation, database configuration window will open to
establish connection with database
 Select Server path from available list
 Specify User Name, Password, Database Name and activate New
Database checkbox
 Please note, by default User Name: sa
Password: matrix_1
Database Name: cosecsamay
 Click save to save configuration
 Installer can also check connectivity through Test Connection option
 Now, login window of COSEC SAMAY open with default user name
Admin and password is admin too
 In COSEC SAMAY, there are two different login users:
1. Admin: with full access rights for application
2. HRD: with limited Access rights of application
 Click Login
 This will open home page of COSEC SAMAY
 There are four different modules in COSEC SAMAY:

3. Time And Attendance
4. Admin
In this way, user can install COSEC SAMAY
