Tasks
We are looking for an Approval Engineer at ABB Oy, Drives
and Controls unit in Helsinki. You will be responsible for the
planning and handling of the approvals of frequency
converters. In this position, you will be working in close
co-operation with various design teams and safety authorities.

• Test planning
• Communicating with the authorities
• Handling factory audits
• Supporting designers
• Updating existing approvals

Requirements
Requirements
• A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in technology, power electronics or
electronics
• A few years’ experience with electrical drives
• Good understanding of standards related to drives
• Ability to react quickly to changing situations
• A practical and precise way of working
• Fluent written and spoken English and Finnish skills
• Experience on working with MS Office tools
Ideally, you have
• Knowledge of electrical safety of drives
• Knowlegde of Marine approvals
