Mission Statement
The mission of the Halle Martin Foundation, Inc. is to educate, inform and help support individuals and families
affected by Autistic Spectrum Disorders.
Background Statement
We are requesting your financial assistance and support! Since its inception, The Halle Martin Foundation has
made great strides to become a catalyst in our area, established for the purpose of assisting families affected by
Autistic Spectrum Disorders. Our organization is a non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status, under the
direction of Tameeka Williams, whose daughter was diagnosed with Autism in the summer of 2008. The
Foundation provides one-on-one Emotional Support for parents, Autistic Spectrum Disorders Research,
Workshops, Presentations, Educational Products, Information Dissemination, and Practical and Financial
Assistance.
We are seeking grant money from various funding sources including federal government, corporate, and private
industry; however to reach our financial goals we need your support! By giving, you help us change lives as we
help to improve the “quality of life” for those families affected by Autistic Spectrum Disorders. Also, your help will
positively impact our area and build alliances in the communities in which we serve. All proceeds, contributions,
and in-kind donations will go towards services provided by the Halle Martin Foundation, Inc.
Please take the time to go online and donate today at www.hallemartinfoundation.org! Also, you can send your
tax-deductible donation or gift made payable to The Halle Martin Foundation, Inc. We look forward to meeting
with you as we work together to strengthen our community and defeat Autism together! Thanks in advance for
your support, and if you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at (850) 294-0592.

Philippians 4:13: “I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me”
The Halle Martin Foundation, Inc. was founded and created to meet a need in the community
in which I live, and to help create more awareness of Autism and Autistic Spectrum
Disorders. The Foundation was also created to help support children and families in their
efforts to have a better “quality of life”. What does it mean to raise a child with
Autism? How does this affect a family unit? What help can I receive? In short, what do I do?
These were the questions that I asked myself, and I'm sure other parents and families asked
the same questions. My daughter was four years old when she was diagnosed with Autism,
and I knew then that my life would never be the same… I, and I'm sure like many other
families, tried to find a quick fix, quick cure, diet regimens, and a variety of medications in the
hopes that they would somehow instantly cure my daughter. After my pity parties, crying
spells, self-denial, and occasional depressive moments, I quickly learned that I had to stand
strong, and depend on my spiritual faith!
At the time of my daughter's diagnosis, I was working full-time and raising a
family…keep in mind also that I was raising a child with Autism! I remember being
overwhelmed by the amount of doctors and specialists that my daughter had to
see….and I said to myself this is what I have to do in order for my daughter to survive!
This is what I have to do in order to have a better quality of life for my family! This was a
defining moment for me, because from then on I asked a lot of questions from her
pediatrician, neurologist, geneticist, therapists, etc. and began getting involved in my
daughter's success. It was through these trials and tribulations that I begin to tell my story of
how my family lives on a daily basis. Raising a child on the Autism Spectrum is a 24 hour, 7
days a week job! Let's face it, it's a way of life until there is a known cure….Because
Autism is a neurological disorder that affects a child's social, emotional and cognitive
developmental growth, the behaviors will vary from mild to severe depending on the child. My
daughter's behaviors are sometimes mild…and sometimes severe. Then there's the
potty training (which we are still going through), and there's the different eating styles (which
we are still going through), and then there's different sleeping patterns, and then there
different temper tantrums…. So as you can see, raising a child on the spectrum is NO
EASY Task! However, with faith, hope, and love our families can live a happy, healthy
lifestyle!

Board Chair Statement
I am Bishop Dr. Anthony Webster, a volunteer and Board member for the Halle Martin Foundation, Inc.. I
proudly joined this organization because it is a proactive supporter of autism, and provides the big voice we
need in educating our community about what autism is and is not, what can be done about it, and why we
should ALL care about it. The Halle Martin Foundation, Inc. is helping families and individuals connect with the
services they need and with each other, so that we can know we are not crazy, we are not alone, we are not
powerless.
It gives me great hope to know that the Halle Martin Foundation is already changing lives for kids in Leon and
surrounding counties here in Florida. The effort put forth by the Halle Martin Foundation is already producing
new hope, the awareness programs are working, and the demonstration of our volunteer involvement is
empowering for all of us. It is my hope that the next generation of families will not have to go through the kind of
confusion, frustration, and hopelessness that this one is facing, and that ultimately we won’t need to do this
work any longer. My wife Joyce and I have a special kid, and have experienced many of the parental challenges
that exist in this community.
That’s why I do what I do. I believe in the Halle Martin Foundation, and I hope others will join me in supporting
this cause.
Sincerely,
Bishop Dr. Anthony Webster
