Tata Power Delhi Distribution, a pioneer in the field of Demand Side Management and Energy
Efficiency has in the past rolled out various Energy Efficiency Initiatives on regular basis for its customers.
Customers can now avail the benefits of the discount based scheme “Energy Efficient Ceiling fan
Program” which has been rolled out in collaboration with Crompton Greaves Consumer
Electricals Ltd (CGCEL).

Implementing agency :Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd (CGCEL)

Standard BEE 5 Star and Decorative models with five color variances will be offered by
CGCEL
3.
The duration of the scheme is for five months ,commencing from June 16,2016
4.
Energy efficient ceiling fans will be distributed by CGCEL authorized distribution agency from all TATA POWER-DDL customer care centers during 10am-5pm (Saturday : Half day &
Sunday : Closed)
5.
Products would be offered at discounted prices (up to 25% on MRP)
6.
The consumers/ Employees can avail any number of fans as per their own requirement
7.
The scheme can be availed by all the categories of consumers: Residential , Industrial &
Commercial without any documentation proof requirement
8.
Consumers need to pay the net discounted price upfront(cash only) for the energy efficient BEE 5 star rated fan offered under the scheme
9.
The scheme is applicable for “new purchase’’ only.
BEE 5 Star ceiling fans consume only 50-53 Watts of energy which is around 30% less than the
Conventional ceiling fan which range from 75-80 Watts. It is estimated that consumer’s electricity bill will reduce by about Rs 500 -550 per year, which means that the incremental cost of this fan can be recovered in less than 1 year.
On implementation of the program, TATA POWER-DDL will be able to reduce 3 MW peak load during summer and save 7.2 million unit annually. This will also have positive impact on environment by reducing CO2 in tune of 2398 MTon
