GAS TURBINE SERVICE
In-house Verification Combined Cycle Power Plant (T-Point)
Mitsubishi’s fleet of gas turbines are launched into the market only after passing in-depth verification at our in-house
Combined Cycle plant. By actually installing and operating our state-of-the-art engines within a plant on site, our
engineers have the opportunity to closely monitor and verify the performance of all components. Before our products go
to market, they have demonstrated experience as top performers. This thorough verification enables Mitsubishi
technology to reliably meet global demands for higher inlet gas temperature, increased efficiency, and lower NOx
emissions. Furthermore, Mitsubishi’s experience implementing not just new technologies but upgrades at our in-house
plant allows us to enhance the operation of existing gas turbines.
Long Term Service Contract
In power generation, success is a long term commitment. Mitsubishi’s Long Term Service Contracts provide a single
point of contact for technical and outage coordination. Mitsubishi works with customers to carefully craft long term
service agreements that meet individual plants operational needs, making optimal performance and reliability our
priority.

RMC tracking and feedback
Mitsubishi’s Remote Monitoring Centers (RMC), located in Japan and the United States, make it possible to monitor
customers’ plants worldwide and to quickly find and solve operational anomalies. Information gathered allows Mitsubishi
engineering and technical staff to support control room operators during gas turbine operation through data analysis and
evaluation. The advanced capabilities of the RMC assist plants in optimizing gas turbine performance, efficiency,
operation, and long term service management.

Life evaluation for longer parts life and on-time replacement
Mitsubishi has worked to ensure customers’ plants remain available by
developing the most reliable equipment in gas turbine power generation.
Beyond design, quality maintenance and effective parts upgrades
sustain reliable operation over time.
Mitsubishi has extensive experience performing the highly advanced
parts-life evaluation essential to safeguard long term operating reliability
and efficiency. This evaluation includes examination of issues such as
creep, high cycle fatigue, oxidation, and erosion that can affect material
properties.
Through the use of our Remote Monitoring Center and frequent
personal communications with our customers through Program
Managers and staff, Mitsubishi gathers data on operating and site parameters- load cycle, start/stop frequency, fuel
quality, and atmospheric and operating conditions- that can influence parts-life. This enables implementation of
advanced repair techniques to address issues before they impact availability, minimizing the risk of unplanned
maintenance. Additionally, the information gathered is used to set priorities for product upgrades that can be incorporated
into operating turbines for enhanced durability, extending parts life and increasing availability.
Systematic incorporation and sharing of lessons-learned
Lessons learned throughout the fleet are collected from the Remote Monitoring Center, Mitsubishi supported User Group
meetings, engineers on the ground, and long term service program personnel. This comprehensive data is carefully
examined and incorporated into written materials such as
Gas Turbine Bulletins (GTB) and Gas Turbine Upgrade
(GTU) documents. These documents are not just shared
among Mitsubishi’s workforce but are made available to
customers to facilitate collaboration across the fleet.
This collaboration enables Mitsubishi technologies
continued evolution, both through upgrade of existing
product and new designs, empowering plant operators to
meet the world’s power needs.
