PMM Non-corroding Non-corrodingcooling coolingtowers towers PMM Series PMM Series cooling towers PMM Series cooling towers The PMM series, proposed in big-size plants, are open circuit counterflow cooling towers composed of pre-assembled modules. Each unit is engineered according to the technical data of the relevant project. Capacity from 2.6 to 14 MW (approximate values referred to one cell, 5°C temperature range, 19 mm fill pack), modular systems. This particular design grants a quick and inexpensive final installation, minimizing the erection times and costs. The PMM range can be engineered, in many cases, to fit to existing basins or structures. The fill packs used by TORRAVAL (internally tested in the own test station) are composed of self-extinguishing PVC sheets or thermoformed PP, available with different geometries depending on the characteristics of water: • 19 mm (PVC o PP) Panels for industrially clean water, with maximum temperatures of +55°C (PVC) and peaks up to +80°C (PP) • GS-L (PVC also available for high temperatures) Panels for dirty water, developed by MITA to provide maximum heat transfer by combining an effective splash effect to a film component • GS (PP) Grids for very dirty water (suspended solids and colloids with a diameter <200/300 microns, concentration <1000 mg / l) and with a maximum peak temperature of +80°C Certificación ASTM E-84 Construction details 9 2 4 1 7 6 5 3 8 1 2 3 4 Structure and casing Material: Bearing frame in hot-dip galvanized steel after all works, FRP sandwich panels • • Fan stack Material: PRFV Characteristics: •Non-corroding Filling material (or heat exchange surface) Material: Self-extinguishing PVC Characteristics: • Laminar: clean water/industrial water • Semi-splash: dirty water • Splash: very dirty water Mechanical equipment • High performance axial fan made of FRP or aluminum.
