3/4’s DIFFERENCE HANDICAP ALLOWANCE
The gents Winter League is the focal point of competition golf on a Winters Sunday
Morning. The competition will consist of 4 leagues of 4 , 5 or 6 pairs. Pairs who
enter must be able to play on stipulated dates ...tee times should be booked
between 08.00 -10.00 ideally by the nominated home pairing in each fixture. The
competition is fourball betterball matchplay with 3/4 handicap difference taken from
the lowest player. If one player from a pair is unable to play the other player should
still make the effort to play on his own , if the absent player has the lower handicap
then shots should still be taken from him.Only an even number of pairs can be
entered, ensuring no bye weeks. Any play offs required will be on 11th Jan.
The cost of entry is £10.00 per pair .
PRIZES: WINNING PAIR £50.00 , RUNNERS UP £25.00
LOSING SEMI FINALISTS £10.00 EACH.
When the draw is completed each fixture will have a pairs nominated as either “home” or “away” , the home pair will
have precedence in booking tee times...please discuss with your opposition well in advance your preference for start
times.

ENVELOPE , WHICH CLEARLY STATES YOUR NAMES ,
DATE & TIME , CONTACT TELEPHONE No's. AND "Winter
league" , AND POST INTO THE FEES BOX IN RECEPTION.
CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRY IS SATURDAY 20TH SEPT. 2008 OR BEFORE WHEN
MAXIMUM OF 32 PAIRS IS REACHED.THE DRAW WILL BE POSTED BY 23RD SEPT
ALLOWING NEARLY TWO WEEKS TO BOOK FIRST FIXTURE.
PLEASE CHECK THAT YOUR NAMES ARE ON THE PAID LIST IN RECEPTION WHICH IS UPDATED ON A
REGULAR BASIS
THE FIRST 24 PAIRS TO PAY £10.00 ENTRY FEE WILL BE INCLUDED. IF 24 PAIRS DO NOT ENTER EACH
LEAGUE MUST BE OF AN EQUAL NUMBER SO THE 23RD ENTRY WILL BE EXCLUDED AND SO ON.
