Spanish and Nursing Community Clinical in Granada, Spain with Granada Institute of International Studies (GRIIS) Program Details Nursing students can strengthen their Spanish skills and gain experience in an international health care setting. You will take 8 credits of Spanish Grammar, Conversation and Writing; GRIIS seminar (4 credits); plus one or two elective courses (4 credits each) in either Spanish culture, Spanish literature, or Spanish Art, for a total of 16 credits. In addition, you will have the opportunity to complete the clinical component of NURS387, Nursing Care of Individuals, Families & Communities. This clinical experience will be fulfilled by participating at the designated clinical settings 2 times per week for 3 hours (for a total of 72 hours). Dates: Fall* or Spring semester Due to course sequencing, it is preferred that nursing students study abroad in their Junior year, fall semester. Prerequisites Successful completion of SPAN 245 and NURS226, 235 & 292.
