ACC 2211 Managerial Finance and Accounting Find out the role of accounting in business organisations – and learn the essentials, like how to identify the different sources of finance available to a company, as well the cost of investing in projects using different appraisal techniques. We'll also cover how to analyse and interpret the financial stability of a company using the information provided in balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow statements. CMW 3013 Fantastic London We will introduce you to some of the best fantasy books set in London and to the writing techniques the authors have used. We’ll be exploring London itself with four walks and four opportunities to taste the food of London. HRM 2005 Human Resource Management This course offers an introduction to theories of organisational behaviour, and how these relate to key areas of human resource management. By the end of the course, you'll be familiar with both these theories and also a wide range of general HR policies and practices within the four key areas of employee resourcing, employee reward, employee relations, and employee training and development. And you'll have the chance to put what you've learned into practice using case studies and activities. POI 2351 Theory of International Politics This topical course will allow you to examine the main theories of international politics and their application to interstate relations. Realist, liberal, Marxist and social constructivist approaches are analysed and applied to the study of diplomacy, sovereignty, foreign policy, and war. PSY 2550 Positive Psychology and Personal Happiness You will be introduced to the theory and practice of positive psychology, whose aim is to equip you with the tools to live a happier, more fulfilling life. Positive psychology focuses on a person’s strengths rather than their weaknesses (which is more the domain of clinical psychology) and how the exercise of these strengths leads to an engaged and rewarding life. Through seminars and practical experiences we explore how you can make the most of your past, present and future.
