PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This sealing end is designed to terminate an extruded high voltage cable in outdoor conditions.
BASIC COMPONENTS
1
1) INSULATOR
• composite type insulator with glass fibre reinforced epoxy resin tube
and silicon rubber sheds
• shed colour: light grey
• top and bottom flanges glued and sealed to the composite insulator
• corona shield integrated in top flange
2) CABLE END
• pre-moulded and factory-tested stress cone
• solid rod top connector
• base plate
• wiping gland, provided with M12 earth connections for bonding leads
• support insulators
• seals and fixing materials
• unpressurised synthetic oil as an insulating medium
ADDITIONAL OPTIONS
• connection for coaxial earthing wire
• branching of integrated optical fibres from the power cable

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR AERIAL LUGS
Aerial lugs are not included in the accessory kit. Depending on the conductor material of the cable, the
advised aerial lugs are specified below. In all cases contact grease must be used between the top
connector of the outdoor termination and the aerial lug.
