PSEG Long Island has identified swimming pool pumps as an opportunity for energy efficiency and savings.
Inefficient pool pumps are considered a significant waste of energy and therefore a prime target for replacement with newer, more energy efficient models. While ENERGY STAR ® certified pool pumps may initially cost more; customers will see a return on their investment through significant energy savings over the life of the unit.
To promote the purchase and installation of ENERGY STAR certified two-speed and variable-speed swimming pool pumps within their service territory; PSEG Long Island is offering rebates to residential
electric account customers and incentives to Dealers/Installers who are participating in the program.
The pool pumps must be installed by a participating Dealer/Installer in order to qualify for rebate. Eligible pumps must be 1/2 HP or larger.

Participation is easy. Simply follow these steps to take part in the program:
1. Participate in manufacturer sponsored training on the proper installation and programming of ENERGY STAR certified two-speed or variable-speed swimming pool pumps.
2. Submit a signed PSEG Long Island Certificate of Completion from your pool pump manufacturer representative stating the date and location of the product knowledge and installation training session, per participating installer.
3. Sign and submit the PSEG Long Island 2016 Dealer/Installer Letter of Agreement and have your company’s name listed on the PSEG Long Island Web site as a participating

4. Up-sell your customer to an ENERGY STAR certified model with the PSEG Long Island rebate ranging from $150 to $350 when talking to PSEG Long Island electric customers about their swimming pool pumps.
5. Receive an incentive of $75 to $100 from PSEG Long Island for each eligible pool pump installed.
6. All customer, installer, and product information must be completed in full on rebate including both signatures.
Once completed, the customer must send the rebate along with required attachments to PSEG Long Island’s rebate processing center. Customer and installer information from this form will be used for payment processing purposes.
7. The customer must be able to provide a copy of their most recent PSEG Long Island residential electric bill, sales invoice/receipt, and installation invoice.
8. The Rebate Form must be completed in full and postmarked within 90 days of installation, but no later than 12/31/16.
The rebate checks will be processed within 6-8 weeks
