Rules
1. Except as provided, the usual rules of cricket shall apply (no balls, etc).
2. Play shall commence at 3.15pm.
3. If due to weather conditions either side is unable to bat for at least 8 overs, the match shall be abandoned
and no points awarded. If in a match, otherwise incomplete, both sides have batted for at least 8 overs,
the winner shall be the team with the most runs scored after the last over competed by both teams in their
respective innings. The decision to abandon a match shall be made by the umpire standing in the match in
consultations with both captains.
4. The competitions organisers will provide one umpire to officiate and score at the bowling end at all times.
5. Each team shall consist of 8 players.
6. No leg before wicket (LBW) decisions will be given.

Bowling
Each match shall be limited to one innings of sixteen, six ball overs per side.
All bowlers are permitted to bowl 2 overs each.
A bowler must not bowl 2 consecutive overs
Bowling run-ups shall not exceed 5 metres.
All overs are taken place from the one end
Wides shall be counted as 2 runs and added to the batting team’s total. Wides are not to be re-bowled,
unless in the last over of an innings.
Batting
A batting innings is divided into 4 sections. Each section consists of 4 overs.
The batting team bats in pairs with each pair batting for 4 overs.
Batsmen continue batting for the entire 4 overs, whether they are dismissed or not.
Batsmen must change ends at the completion of each over.
Scoring
17. When a batsman is dismissed, 5 runs are deducted from their team's score.
Fielding
18. There are no restrictions on fielding positions. However, No fielder, apart from the wicketkeeper, is to be
within 10 metres of the batter.
Points
19. Points will be awarded as follows:

3 points awarded to each team.
Teams must be equal on runs scored and wickets lost, if not the match will be awarded to
the team that loses the least amount of wickets.
