ELECTRICAL FAULT DISRUPTS WATER SUPPLY TO SECTIONS OF ST CATHERINE
SHUTDOWN OF NUTSHELL RELIFT STATION AFFECTS EWARTON AND
SURROUNDING AREAS
The National Water Commission is advising that some customers in St. Catherine are currently
experiencing a disruption in their regular water supply which is as a result of an Electrical Fault affecting
the operations at Nutshell Relift Station.
Areas affected are:
Ewarton, Waterloo, Cassava Pond, Newlands Heights, Tucker Road, Tucker Lane, Coghell Road, Charlton
Meadows, White House H/S and Nutshell District.
Meanwhile customers in Charlemont H/S, York Street, Treadways, Cotton-Piece will see a reduction in
their water pressure during the period of outage.
It is estimated that regular water supply should be restored by late this evening, Thursday, August 4,
2016.
The National Water Commission apologies for any inconvenience this disruption in service may have
caused.
