FUKUOKA
With a population of 1.4 million, Fukuoka is the
capital city of Fukuoka Prefecture and is situated
on the northern shore of the island of Kyushu in
Japan. It also serves as a major international
and domestic gateway to the island. Fukuoka
has the geometrical advantage of being closer to
the Asian Continent than other places in Japan.
With this advantage, Fukuoka has been serving
as a gateway to import Asian culture from
ancient times. Fukuoka is considered as one of
the eight major cities in Japan, which is
developing significantly in terms of polity,
economy, culture. Fukuoka’s moderate climate,
beautiful scenery and great location have made
it popular with travelers both from within Japan
and without.
CALL FOR PAPERS
Abstracts are invited on the symposia topics or
other related areas of biomaterials. Short
abstract of approximately 200 words and a two

communities from various scientific disciplines,
including biology, physiology, materials
science, physics, chemistry, engineering, and
clinical science, to discuss new and exciting
advances that involve biomaterials, techniques
and methodologies. Apart from the usual
conference activities consisting of plenary and
invited lectures, general symposia and poster
presentation, there will be a series of Special
Symposia focusing on clinical applications of
biomaterials in dental, orthopedic,
cardiovascular etc. We will expect over 300
participants from around the world to attend.
