ZoneMaster PRO SM 200kA to 340kA power surge protection for total facility protection O Outdoor Rated Enclosure NEMA 3R/4 standard O Large block MOV & SAD Hybrid protection technology O Thermal and short circuit protection plus fused disconnect as standard O Surge counter and power filter O Integrated fused disconnect O Patented technology The ZoneMaster PRO SM Series of products is designed for the optimum control of surges. Using combinations of SAD and Large Block MOV modules, the unit provides exceptional protection performance for sensitive equipment. The ZoneMaster PRO SM provides multiple levels of redundancy with the SAD primary stage, backed by high current capacity of the MOV stage. The ZoneMaster PRO SM Series has the option of line to neutral protection only. This option is required by radio manufacturers who specify that there will be no neutral to ground connections or components after the shelter (or building) neutral-ground bond point. In addtion, multiple SAD modules are available for critical sites. The ZoneMaster PRO 200 SSM model comes with two (SS) SAD modules for extremely critical sites providing the lowest let-through voltage possible. Each module has a patented dual fusing design that provides both thermal and overcurrent protection at the module level. Dual circuits in each module ensures redundancy and continued protection in the event of a surge that exceeds the module’s capacity. The integrated fused disconnect is a standard item in all ZoneMaster PRO products. This provides an extra safety feature for the servicing of the unit and complies with NEC requirements, thereby elevating the kAIC rating of the unit. remote installation and includes a test switch function and a switch to silence the audible alarm. An standard power filter is available which eliminates a broad range of load or line generated high frequency noise. This UL 1283 Listed filter module has a noise attenuation of 75dB at 100KHz-100MHz and will attenuate 6kV transients down to a mere 200V without the support of other surge components. ZoneMaster PRO units are tested as per ANSI/IEEE C62.41 and C62.45. The multi-mode surge counter actually counts the number of times a surge current is discharged when a transient is suppressed; many competitive products count only voltage impulses. These counters show the number of transient voltages exceeding the manufacturer’s set limits and can even be used to identify which phase has received the most surges - an industry first. Remote monitoring is facilitated by the optional audio/visual alarm annunciator panel which offers clear indication of the status of the ZoneMaster PRO unit and a flexibility not offered by built-in products. This panel can be mounted either adjacent to the ZoneMaster PRO or in a AC Power Protection Specification All figures typical at 77°F (25°C) unless otherwise stated Maximum continuous operating voltage 25% above nominal Surge current capacity SM versions 12kA SAD/200kA MOV SMM versions 12kA SAD/340kA MOV SSM versions 24kA SAD/200kA MOV Ambient temperature limits –40°F to +185°F (–40°C to +85°C) - working Humidity 95% RH (non-condensing) Enclosure NEMA 1 (standard) Terminals 2 AWG (32mm2) Mounting Surface mount by 0.31” (8mm) diameter holes or optional flush mount available Indication MOV modules: Continuous visual status monitoring Green LED Lit = Full protection Red LED Lit = Reduced (Standby) OR no protection SAD modules: Green LED on Protection present Green LED off Module failure Remote contacts NO/NC 125Vac, 2A rated Weight 25.4 lbs approx.
