Verify that your
headphones are working
by plugging them into a
known good device or
unit.

Ensure the volume is high
enough to be heard by
using the increase volume
button on the keypad or by
using the touch screen.

Replace the keypad or
calibrate the touch screen

Find working
headphones and
continue.

coming from
the jack?
Yes

connections
between the CCB
and touch screen.

Troubleshooting
Check Sound from the CCB
1. Remove the bottom cover of the display head (Fig. 1). Disconnect the audio cable from the CCB (Fig. 2).

2. Connect the headphones directly to the CCB (Fig. 3).

3. Return to the flow chart.

Troubleshooting
Checking the CCB to Screen Cable
1. Disconnect the AV cable from the JP3 on the CCB (Fig. 4) and JP5 on the touch screen (Fig. 5).

2. Using a multi-meter, do a continuity test on all the wires (Fig. 6)
• If there is no continuity on any of the wires, replace the cable.

3. Plug the cable back in to the CCB and interface board. Be sure that both cables are plugged in properly.
4. Return to the flowchart.

Troubleshooting
Test the Audio Cable
Using a multi meter, do the following continuity checks on each stereo jack on the audio cable.
1. Check for continuity on the tips of the stereo jack (Fig. 7 & 8).

2. Check for continuity between the rings of the stereo jack (Fig. 9 & 10).

3. Check for continuity above the rings of the stereo jack (Fig. 11 & 12).

4. If there is no continuity between any of those sets of wires, replace the audio cable.
5. Return to the flowchart.
