Dear Sister, The past month has been quite difficult for our family. Jill’s husband, Jim, has had a recurrence of cancer and is currently undergoing aggressive treatment… Jill asked her oldest daughter, Erin, to lead us in prayer today. Because of the urgent need for prayers for Jim, will you please join us in praying for him? We are so grateful for this group of SISTERS… Thank you for praying with us. HE HEARS! With Hope and Prayers, Jacque (Jill’s mom) Heavenly Father, We come to You today, desperate. Completely desperate. We have nowhere else to go. We come carrying my daddy, #12 to You… because he can’t carry himself. He’s weak, Lord. And as I write this, I too feel weak. And yet the more we seek You, the more strengthened we are. Strengthened so that our praying knees won’t grow weary. Strengthened so that we can come to You with all that we are begging you to rescue Daddy from. Strengthened so that we can simply wake up this morning. Strengthened so that we can praise You through the tears. Strengthened so that we can love You more. Strengthened so that today we can pick Daddy up and bring him to You. Lord, though we don’t understand, we choose to trust You. Every breath we take has been entrusted to You. So in the midst of my pain I come to You with my hands lifted high in praise. Because of who You are… Because of what Your Son did… I can thank You through the tears as I watch my daddy suffer through cancer. I thank You for every doctor and every nurse that has stepped into his room at Lenox Hill. I thank You for medicine. I thank You for radiation. I thank You for chemo. (YES!!!! Thank You Lord for chemo because YOU CAN USE CHEMO!!!!) Thank You for every card and gift that sits on our table and for the amazing people around the world who have sent them. I thank You for the jigsaw puzzles that we have struggled to figure out, but that bring us so much joy! Thank You for every person who has been impacted through what my daddy is going through. Thank You for Your Word and that it brings life in the midst of darkness. Thank You for not withholding Your strength from us. Thank You for the hope that we have in You. Thank You for entrusting the Kelly family with this. Thank You that we suffer for the glory of Your Kingdom. Lord, I thank You that You alone are bigger than cancer. I thank You for all these things, but my heart still aches. So today, April 14, 2014, I cry out to You, with all that I am, asking You to heal. We believe that You can heal, but we also believe that You are in control of all things. We can’t do this on our own. Daddy can’t make it through without You Lord. Please give him strength today. I thank you that You hear our prayers. When this is all said and done, my heart’s desire is that You would be magnified and that we would trust and love You more as a result of pain. Jesus, because of YOU we will continue to say, “You are good.” We love You, Lord. Wrap #12 in Your arms today showing him the depths of Your love. In Your Healing Name we pray, Amen.
