INTERNATIONAL SUMMER LANGUAGE SCHOOL
One of the University’s major
international events is the three-week
Summer Language School which has
been held every July since 1990. This
event is attended by 600 – 700
participants not only from the Czech
Republic but from virtually every corner
of the world. In a truly international
setting, it offers informal language
courses in: Czech for foreigners, English,
French, German, Italian, Portuguese,
Russian and Spanish at beginner to
advanced levels. Besides general
language courses, there are specialized
courses, e.g. TEFL course, a Legal
English course or courses for children.
The ISLS provides an exceptional
opportunity to combine high-quality
language instruction with a lifetime
of experience. A friendly international
atmosphere promotes not only
students´ progress in language studies
but also intercultural and international
contacts in the spirit of tolerance and
