ACP LAUNCHES NEW “PRO SERIES” THERAPUETIC MODALITY LINE WITH EVIDENCE-BASED,
“CONDITION-DRIVEN” OPERATION FOR IMPROVED OUTCOMES AND EASE-OF-USE
October 1, 2007 - Reno, Nevada - Accelerated Care Plus Corp. (ACP) announced today, the introduction of a new line of
therapeutic modality devices called the “Pro Series.” Continuing ACP’s heritage for innovation and “outcomes-driven”
design, the Pro Series introduces yet another level of clinical integrity, reliability and ease-of-use through a variety of new
features.
This new product line includes Electrotherapy (Omnistim® 500 Pro), Patterned Electrical Neurostimulation-PENS
2
2
(Omnistim® FX Pro and Omnistim® FX Pro “Sport”), Ultrasound (Omnisound® 3000 Pro), Short wave Diathermy
(Megapulse® II Pro) and an Infrared Therapy and E-stim Combo Unit with Hand Probe (Neuroprobe® 500B). Each of
these devices now offers pre-set parameters with protocol-driven operation allowing therapists to quickly treat to specific
conditions in a few quick steps. These pre-set parameters can be adjusted as needed to accommodate individual patient
response. In addition, the new Pro Series devices include a larger menu display, improved durability and a “smooth-finish”
control panel membrane for enhanced infection control. A hand remote has also been integrated into the Omnistim® 500
Pro and Omnistim® FX2 Pro for therapist or patient prompted “sit-to-stand” functional muscle rehabilitation and other
assisted therapy needs.
Developed specifically for sports rehabilitation and athletic trainers, the Omnistim® FX2 Pro “Sport” features new pre-set
“condition-driven” protocols for sports-related clinical applications. The Pro Sport uses ACP’s patented waveform called
PENS (Patterned Electrical Neurostimulation) that closely replicates the live-firing pattern of muscles to promote nerve
and muscle reeducation following injury, surgery or muscle disuse atrophy.
“Perhaps more than other companies, we go to great lengths to anchor our product development efforts in evidencebased science,” said ACP’s Chief Technology Officer, Chris Castel PhD. “That’s critical, but what also differentiates us
from other physical modality manufacturers is that ACP’s devices are developed by clinicians… for clinicians. This
approach typically leads to superior clinical efficacy and at the same time, medical technology that can better meet the
needs of clinicians in real world rehabilitation settings.
Over the past 30 years ACP has been responsible for numerous innovations and patents. The Company’s therapeutic
equipment is well researched, with over 100 scientific articles documenting superior outcomes and safety. During that
period, ACP’s medical technology has been used safely and successfully in a variety of therapy settings and is currently
the “equipment of choice” for over 100 professional and collegiate sports teams. The devices are used by clinicians in this
therapy setting to accelerate healing, improve functional outcomes and enhance performance.
“Progressive medical technology is only useful insofar as it serves the unique needs of practitioners and the patients
they’re serving,” stated Castel. “The new Pro Series is a great example of that philosophy in action.”
