10 kW PEAK POWER CHP MULTI FUEL STIRLING GENERATOR DATASHEET Address : Bruksgatan 7, SE – 81494 Älvkarleö Bruk, Sweden Tel: +46 (0)26 821 33 www.inresol.se The Stirling engine power generator The GENIOUS™ power output is made through a multimode inverter where the power flows in a bidirectional manner between the power loads, the grid connection and the internal battery storage. The generator operates at 5kW producing 565Vdc via a rectifier that feeds the power into a DC-bus. The DCbus then feeds a grid inverter to power electrical loads and a DC/DC converter that charges a battery at 300Vdc. The battery DC/DC converter is also bidirectional, so the power can flow in a n y d i re c t i o n i n t h e g e n e r a t o r, depending on current situation and power needed. D A T A S H E E T The power generator is optimized for the rpm range of 700 – 1200 rpm where the net electrical efficiency including the rectifier circuit is 91-94%. Address : Bruksgatan 7, SE – 81494 Älvkarleö Bruk, Sweden Tel: +46 (0)26 821 33 www.inresol.se The power generator is a “cogeneration” unit providing hot water to the boiler unit and the heating of building. The engine cooling system is also connected to the heating boiler or other hot water load in the application. The temperature has to be controlled between 55-85°C during operation. Cooling The power generator automatically starts its operation when the temperature on the heater rises above 600°C. The engine adapts automatically to the provided temperature and heat flux power during operation. When the heat source is removed, the engine stops its operation when residual heat falls to approx. 300°C. If the engine is subjected to any operational parameter outside that of the maximum limitations, a fault alarm is sent to the user interface. 420mm Drawings 390mm 820mm Additional drawings can be obtained for the purpose of installation of the Genious™ engine in your particular application. The control/electronics enclosure is supplied with the engine including the starter battery. D A T A S H E E T OEM software with added functions can be developed and implemented in the engine controller (no need for a separate control unit). The Genious™ stirling engine heat input needs to be specified from a CFD simulation or other design calculations that prove the application to be feasible and durable. We can provide the necessary calculations if wanted. After the heat input is arranged the new application can be started “turn key” from the supplied standard software application from Inresol. Example of OEM integration where the stirling engine is inserted into a biofuel boiler.
