 Application process
 All incoming international students are required to fill out the Incoming Exchange Student
Application Form.

 Attach with 1 copy printed Online Registration Application Report.
 Please attach all the required documents below to your printed application form, make it one
“scanned” copy (in colors), and send it to your coordinator at MMU “by email” before the
deadline.
 The scanned file should be sent by the home institution’s outgoing students’ coordinator. This is
to speed up the documentations for visa issuance.
 The original applications to be sent by post.

① s Incoming Exchange Student Application form.

③ Students’ curriculum vitae in English.
④ 2 recommendation letters from faculty ( Academic Advisor / Lecturer)
⑤ 3 Certified copies of academic transcript on all grades obtained until present (in English).
⑥ If available: certificates for English language tests (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS, GCE ‘O’ Levels for English). Min.
requirement is TOEFL 520 (Computer based 190, Internet based 68), IELTS 5.5 or C in Cambridge OLevel English.
⑦ 3 copies of passport(all pages including blank pages on A4 size paper)
⑧ 8 passport size photographs (blue background)
⑨ Upon receiving an offer letter from MMU, students need to submit proof of payment for USD 500
which includes application fee for a Malaysian Student Pass, health examination, medical insurance
card, administrative charges, as well as the fee for the pass (for the duration of less than 6 months).

Please ensure that you select subjects of a suitable level. The list of subjects listed and the subjects
offered might be different and changes are at the discretion of the faculties.
The normal credit load for one trimester in MMU is as follows: For Long Trimester (14 weeks of classes - June and October intakes), student are allowed to take
a maximum of 21 credit hours, and a minimum of one subject which is of 2 credit hours or 3
credit hours.
 For Short Trimester (8 weeks of classes - March intake) students are allowed to register for
maximum of 14 credit hours, and a minimum of one subject which is of 2 credit hours or 3 credit
hours.

 Visa requirements:
 The regulations for obtaining visas change from time to time. Successful applicants will receive a “Visa
Approval Letter (VAL)” (scanned version) from MMU.
 Students are required to apply for an Entry Visa at Malaysia Embassy/High Commission /Consulate
located in their home country.
 As processing of a visa takes several weeks, it is highly advisable to apply for it immediately when you
receive the document. Flight ticket should be purchased after Visa Approval Letter (VAL) is approved.
We will not be responsible for any purchases with departure date before VAL is approved.
 When students pay Student Exchange Program fee for USD500 you are eligible of 6 months Student
Visa and USD700 for 12 months Student Visa.

With payment of Student Exchange Program fee, full coverage for international students is applicable.

Due to limited on-campus accommodation, exchange students are offered fully-furnished off-campus
accommodation that costs between RM600-800 per month including utilities charges.
