IMST ANNOUNCES
DESIGN TEAMING WITH
UNITED MONOLITHIC SEMICONDUCTERS
With the objective of expanding its design services and in order to better serve the needs of the
growing range of customers, IMST (Kamp-Lintfort, Germany) and United Monolithic Semiconductors (Orsay, France, Ulm, Germany) agreed on a closer cooperation. Under this cooperation
IMST will act as an UMS certified design house, having a preferred access to UMS process information, models, and design tools. IMST will design and develop products for their or for common customers, based on the UMS processes. The applications covered are such as remote sensors and wireless communication and identification systems. One of the midterm targets is the development of highly integrated systems, via system in a package or even system on a chip.
This teaming between IMST and UMS is based on several years of successful cooperation in the
area of design and development of GaAs MMICs. Both teams consider this extended cooperation
as a strong support for their further expansion of businesses.
