Create art using unusual materials, household objects, and basic art tools. Join us as we look for patterns in nature, create our own motifs, and use music and theatre to inspire your inner thespian. Help us brighten up cMoe as you work with your fellow camp artists to recreate a giant work of art to be displayed in our galleries. Work with our Resident Artist to create spin art! Let your imagination run wild during this colorful week! Themes: Art, Art History, International Culture Explore your creativity and become a “musicteller”! What’s a musicteller? We’re glad you asked! Join Tales & Scales artists as they teach you about being a captivating storyteller and the basics of theatre. You’ll practice music and creative moment through games and hands-on activities. Show off your musictelling abilities on the last day with a performance for your family! No prior experience is necessary - just your creativity and personality! Themes: Music, Theatre Arts, Art Civic Theatre Presents B.A.T. Camp Mad Scientist JUNE 13–17 cMoe once again teams up with the Evansville Civic Theatre for Basic Actor Training (B.A.T.) Camp, where you’ll be a star! Practice voice projection, stage presence, miming, and more as you work with fellow campers to design, rehearse, and perform your very own play! The week is full of hands-on projects and hilarious games, and will end with a performance for the campers’ families. Join us for this drama-filled week - everyone has a part to play! Themes: Theatre Arts, Literature, Music, Art STEM Camp JUNE 20 – 24 Join us as we use Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math to explore the world around us. Travel with us to Evansville Regional Airport to get a behind the scenes look at various airplanes and talk to pilots during their annual air show! Circuit boards, 3d printing, and architecture are just a few of the topics we will be exploring as we build robots and design our own “green” city. Themes: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math Civic Theatre Presents JUNE 27 – JULY 1 Wonderful World of Wizardry Join actors from Evansville Civic Theatre as they assume the roles of instructors from one of modern literature’s most infamous schools of wizardry! Create your own character, complete with a name and school! Design your own wand. Learn about invisibility cloaks (and is there such thing?), floating candles, owls, and all sorts of “spells” and magic! This camp will feature crafting and games galore and is sure to be a hit with your inner witch or wizard! Themes: Literature, Art, Science, Theatre arts JULY 18 – 22 Grab the lab coat and glasses - it’s time to head to the mad science lab! Physics, Chemistry, and Anatomy are just a few of the areas we will be exploring. Play and paint with fizz and color as we study chemical reactions. From meteorology and slime to wacky inventions and a physics-defying gadgets, we’ll hypothesize and experiment with various real world challenges! Themes: Biology, Chemistry, Physics Sleuth Camp JULY 25 – 29 Secret codes, fingerprints, and espionage are only a few of the things we’ll uncover in our cMoe Sleuth Camp! Find out what it takes to be a detective as we scour the museum for clues to solve our week long mystery! Plus, you’ll get an all-access pass to a behind-the-scenes look at what makes cMoe tick. You’ll learn the ins and outs of a trial as we try to convict the guilty party. Are you sneaky enough to be a sleuth? Themes: Chemistry, Biology, Technology, Language Arts World Traveler’s Camp AUGUST 1 – 5 Take a vacation at cMoe as we travel the world and explore different cultures! Dance, paint, and write your way through a variety of different customs as we celebrate a different cultural holiday every day of the week. Learn different greetings, write your name in a variety of languages, and expand your knowledge of culture and history. Learn the different aspects of international culture as we make our own countries and traditions.
