This is a brochure for Shepherd of the Hills Estates, a real estate development at Forsyth in
Taney County, Missouri. Although undated, it appears to be from the late 1920s.
According to the brochure, Shepherd of the Hills Estates was a “high class development for
year-around homes as well as a real summer resort section on Lake Taneycomo.” The manager
was Rex Allaman. This illustrated pamphlet includes photographs of the main entrance/sales office, Shadow Rock, and a “bird's eye view of beautiful Forsyth, Missouri, our neighbor on the
east, taken from our property.” Textual and visual clues suggest a publication date in the late
1920s.
