Conax GO Live™ is a targeted solution for all pay-TV
operators and telcos aiming to stream live channels
to iOS and Android devices. The solution supports live
streaming of TV channels and includes an application
(app) with a user-friendly interface that includes a
channel list, EPG, and start-over TV.
The key aspects of Conax GO Live™ are to keep the
upfront investments to a minimum and to reduce the
time-to-market. The back-end is carefully designed
to limit the investment and initial operation costs,
yet it is highly scalable to capture growth. Included
in the solution is a complete, scalable back-end with
integrated live-TV encoders and CDN.

Conax GO Live™ offers seamless streaming of live payTV channels and provides a finished iOS and Android
app with a clean and user-friendly interface, EPG
features, and channel listing. The end user will easily
be able to put together a personal channel list, scroll
available channels, pause, and start over or time shift
within a program, as well as gain access to an intuitive
EPG list. Each user will be able to add or remove
registered devices on their user account directly in the app.
Customizable user interface
The Conax GO Live™ solution offers a pre-designed app
with a selection of options for operators to customize
the user interface with their branding. Operator
branding will be ensured by adding brand colors and
logo in various parts of the app. A logo can be added
to the user’s log-in screen, above the channel list,
during channel loading. The operator can also change
the color of the background and time bar.
Language and subtitling
For many operators, local adaptations are very
important. With this in mind, Conax GO Live™ supports
native text and characters in the App, multi-language
audio and subtitling. The end user can easily set
desired audio language and subtitling directly in the
app to accommodate their personal preferences.
Access control and content security
The Conax GO Live™ solution is secured by the flexible
and highly scalable Conax Contego™. Conax GO Live™
will support all levels of required security from simple
access control to advanced security for delivering
premium live content. The complete Conax GO Live™
solution includes the Secure OTT Client, Conax Access™
as a standard. When the need for increased security
arises, the Secure OTT Client can easily be upgraded
to Conax Hardened PlayReady. This will be done by
a simple deployment of a new app re-using all the
installed hardware in the back-end.
Existing Conax Contego™ users can easily add Conax
GO Live™ to their existing installation. For pay-TV
operators and telcos without a Conax Contego™
installation, Conax GO Live™ will include all required
security elements.
