Installing a memory card
TalkSwitch® memory cards are specifically formatted for use with TalkSwitch systems. They allow
you to add additional voicemail message capacity to your TalkSwitch unit, and are available for
TalkSwitch CA, CVA and VS units. Voicemail memory is used to store voicemail, auto attendant
greetings, announcements and music on hold. Memory can be increased in increments of 1
hour, 2 hours and 4.5 hours. More memory gives you more recorded message time.

Insert the memory card into the
memory slot as shown in the diagram.
There is no need to turn the unit off, nor
do you need to disconnect any telephone
lines or extensions.

Make sure the gold contact is face
down and inserted into the memory
slot first. The “This side up” tab
should be showing.

Verifying memory
After installing the additional memory, the TalkSwitch system will locate and
initialize it within about 20 seconds.
To verify that the memory has been installed correctly you may do the following:
1. Open the TalkSwitch configuration software.
2. Choose Tools > Memory Usage. The total memory area of the Memory Usage window
displays the total message time for the system.
