06 Jan 11, 2012 Promotional Item Sistan-Baluchestan Gas Company Gas Supply to Sistan-Baluchestan Cities in 2 Years T hanks to the efforts of the government, all cities across Sistan-Baluchestan province will be connected to the national gas network within two years, materializing the long-standing goal of Sistani people. The residents of Sistan-Baluchestan have succeeded in getting access to fuel, in light of the justice-oriented government’s allocation of a credit worth 30 trillion rials in the first round of the Cabinet’s visit to the province. The implementation of the largest gas pipeline with a diameter of 15 inches from Assalouyeh to Iranshahr over 920 km is a great revolution in rendering services to the people of Sistan-Baluchestan province. Sistan-Baluchestan Governor General Ali Mohammad Azad said that in view of the follow-ups made during the second and third rounds of the Cabinet’s visit to the southeastern province, gas supply to all provincial cities was ratified. Gas Operations Azad pointed out that Sistan-Baluchestan Gas Company has conducted operations, including pipe-laying, mapping and designing the low and high pressure gas networks and selecting consultants for the cities of Zahedan, Zabol, Zahak, Hirmand, Khash, Iranshahr, Bampur, Delgan, Saravan, Chabahar, Kenarak, Nikshahr, Bezman, Mirjaveh, Sib and Soran, Sarbaz, Pishin and Rask. The governor general added that after the completion of gas supply to the provincial cities, all districts and villages would be connected to the network. Azad said currently, close to 2,000 families in Iranshahr have been connected to the gas network, hoping that all cities in Sistan-Baluchestan would be connected to the gas network within three years. Also, Sistan-Baluchestan Gas Company’s Managing Director Hamid Mirzaei said that with the implementation of 300 km of distribution and feeding network and gas injection over 120 km in Iranshahr, and registration of 1,500 new subscribers , gas supply operations will be completed in all parts of Iranshahr by the end of the current Iranian year (March 2012 ). Highlighting that all the commitments made during the visit of the president and the Cabinet to the province are under implementation, Mirzaei noted that 500 km of gas pipeline have been completed in Iranshahr, Khash, Zahedan, Bampur and Zabol. “The operation to lay 3,110 km of pipeline will be conducted in Chabahar, Kenarak, Zahedan, Iranshahr, Bampur , Khash, Zahak, Zabol, Saravan, Hirmand, Delgan, Bonjar and Mohammadabad in the near future,” he said.
