Enhanced water removal from a
well-formed sheet allows papermakers the flexibility to increase
machine speed between 6 and 8%
on a machine that is not drivelimited. Additionally, increasing the
throughput rate of a paper machine
can help keep competitive with
faster, more modern, and highervolume producing machines.
• Reduced Steam Consumption
Demand: VELOX Dewatering Aid
Technology is capable of reducing
steam consumption demand, which
in turn, depending on energy
requirements of the mill, presents
an opportunity for the papermaker
to potentially recognize energy savings
for every ton produced per hour
without adversely affecting machine
runnability and sheet strength.

VELOX Dewatering Aid Technology
increases machine up-time by
producing higher press dryness and
wet web strength. Normally a 1%
increase in press solids correlates to
an 11 – 13% increase in wet-web
strength or a 3 – 4% reduction in
steam consumption.

improve sheet strength by increasing
