D. University, Jabalpur, M.P. in collaboration with Inter University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), New Delhi during 13, 14 and 15 July 2015. The future of any nation is dependent on technological products of science. Progress in science is achieved through advances in both theory and experiments. Theoretical predictions must be verified by experiments and new experimental results lead to fresh theoretical developments. The role of experiment has become more significant due to the dominance of technology in our lives. This capability can only be achieved by making science education strong in both theory and experiment, which demands good laboratory facilities. IUAC Inter University Accelerator Centre New Delhi, is a particle accelerator facility under UGC. As a part of it’s outreach programme IUAC has developed a computer interfaced device that is capable of performing around 50 science experiments, suitable for higher secondary and under graduate level. More details about the device can be found on the website http://expeyes.in. Main Resource Person Dr. Ajith Kumar B.P., Scientist SH, InterUniversity Accelerator Centre, New Delhi Department of Physics & Electronics The Department of Post-Graduate Studies and Research in Physics and Electronics is imparting knowledge ever since its establishment in 1970, in the traditional as well as emerging area of research and accordingly incorporating new courses at M.Sc. and M. Phil. levels from time to time. Major courses run in the department are M.Sc., M. Phil under semester system and Ph. D. programme as per the new U.G.C. regulation in Physics as well as Electronics. The department plays a vital role in laying strong foundation so that students are well equipped to stand upto the rigor of higher education. Rani Durgavati University The University saw the light of the day along with the formation of the state of Madhya Pradesh in 1956.
